Josh is associate vice chancellor and chief of staff for Nichol Luoma, executive vice chancellor for administration and chief administrative officer at Washington University in St. Louis.

He brings a wealth of experience in higher education and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, he served as Executive Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology, advising executive leadership, managing communications, and overseeing cross-campus collaboration. This portfolio included key administrative areas such the Georgia Tech Police Department, Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Infrastructure & Sustainability, Human Resources, Equal Opportunity Compliance and Conflict Management, Administrative Services Center, and Real Estate Development, alongside office operations for the EVPAF staff team.

Prior to this, Josh was an Executive Management Fellow in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Administrative Officer at Washington University in St. Louis. With over two decades of experience, he has held leadership roles across student affairs, academic affairs, enrollment management, and nonprofit administration, focusing on strategic planning, operations, and data-informed decision-making.

Josh currently serves on the Brown School Eliot Society Committee (Washington University in St. Louis) and as Board Chair for the St. Louis Teacher Residency.

He earned a BA in Art (1997), an MA in Art Education (2000), and an MA in Student Development in Postsecondary Education (2002) from the University of Iowa, followed by a PhD in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (2020).
