Congratulations to the team at The Charles F. Knight Center, which was honored as Venue of the Year at the 2024 MPI Circle of Excellence Awards.
“The St. Louis community is recognizing the professionalism of our team and the seamlessness of our operation,” said Cara LaGrow, senior sales manager at The Knight Center.
In March 2024, The Knight Center hosted Edu-Con, an annual conference for meeting professionals and event planners. LaGrow believes hosting Edu-Con was a major driver for The Knight Center’s win, because the event allowed the venue to showcase the prestigious amenities and services at The Knight Center.
“I’m excited for the exposure in St. Louis and within the circle of meeting professionals that our win achieves,” said LaGrow.
The Meeting Professionals International Circle of Excellence Awards annually awards one local venue with Venue of the Year for their exceptional meeting and event spaces, hospitality, food, and service.
Other local nominated venues included Ameristar Casino St. Charles, The Angad Arts Hotel, The Westin St. Louis, Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza, and Le Meridien Clayton.
The Knight Center offers all-inclusive daily meeting packages, conference space, newly renovated hotel guest rooms, and room blocks for weddings. It is open to the public and the WashU community. The Knight Center is an International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) Certified Venue.
Now until Jan. 31, 2025, The Knight Center is offering a holiday rate of 20% off their best available rate. WashU employees also receive a staff discount year-round on guest rooms at The Knight Center. Rooms are still available for December and 2025 May Commencement weekend.
You are welcome to join The Knight Center on Wednesday, Jan. 15, when the center will host a catering showcase from 3-5 p.m., which will feature the new catering menu, breakfast stations, action stations, and more.
