WashU Police works in partnership with our campus community to cultivate a safe learning environment by providing high quality police service to all in a fair, sensitive and professional manner, while promoting crime prevention awareness.​​

Providing law enforcement services to the Danforth Campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, WashU Police officers are commissioned through St. Louis County Police Department, meeting state requirements for police certification. WashU Police officers are armed and possess the authority to make arrests and investigate criminal and non-criminal incidents. They receive on-going, progressive training to maintain a high standard of professional and community-oriented policing. WashU Police holds memberships with police associations at the county, state and national levels.
